Release Notes for Acronis True Image Echo build 8163

Bugs addressed in this release:

  • Full bootable rescue media is not able to access the License Server
  • A specific Qlogic Driver fails to install in Acronis Universal Restore
  • Unable to select CD Drive as a source in the bootable media restore wizard
  • After One-click restore, the first partition always becomes the active partition
  • Active Restore tray icon always appears with "string was not found" error when not logged in after Active Restore finished
  • Slow archive restoration from the bootable rescue media on some specific hardware
  • Logs not saved when using Acronis bootable rescue media and Acronis startup recovery manager
  • Logs are not created after restoring a computer with Universal Restore
  • Remote installation of components can fail in some cases
  • Agent installation fails when installed from the command line when License Server is required
  • "Failed to connect to the Group Server" error when starting a task if the Group Server and the Management Console are installed on the same machine
  • Local version of ATI can terminate unexpectedly when deleting logs too quickly
  • "Personal backup location" does not appear, when creating Group Task to backup through Backup Server .
  • Backing up all disks to Acronis Secure Zone on a Linux system using software RAID takes longer than expected
  • The local machine is added automatically when trying to add a computer by name or IP Address if a machine name is not specified in the wizard
  • Cannot validate archive created on floppy or magneto-optical drives
  • The backup process goes into an infinite loop when backing up the Application Data folder in Windows Vista
  • "Wake on LAN" option does not work correctly in Group tasks
  • "Enable wake on LAN" option disappears in group task settings
  • Inability to create a multi volume backup with VSS that contains an EISA partition
  • Cannot convert image of Dynamic Disks on SCSI to Microsoft Virtual PC disk.
  • Cannot analyze partition if any device with non standard sector size is attached to computer.
  • Acronis True Image Echo cannot detect Iomega REV drive as destination device
  • Incorrect path in script file when scheduling a Group Task to backup Linux machine to Network share.
  • Linux Agent installed on Debian 4.0 fails to start if the directory "var/log/subsys" doesn’t exist

New Features:

  • Command Line tool for Group Server. This tool allows you to refresh the list of computers in Group Server from a text file
  • Command Line Tool for Backup Server. This tool provides the ability to export information stored in Backup Server about backups file names, locations and computer to an XML file
  • Dual Destination Backup can be done without Acronis Secure Zone.
  • The discovery of computers in Groups Server can now be restricted to user defined network ranges
  • FTP can be used in Active Mode and it default port can be changed.
