Acronis has saved my career on numerous occasions

Eli Yablonovitch is an American physicist and engineer who, along with Sajeev John, published landmark papers on photonic crystals in 1987. He is regarded as a father of the photonic band gap concept, and he coined the term “photonic crystal.”

Given his line of work, dedication and achievements, Yablonovitch has a lot of knowledge about systems, technology and computers. Yablonovitch recounted a time when his computer became a target of a cyberattack. “I was hit by a ransomware attack and a gentleman told me on the phone that I should pay a certain amount of money to get my data back. But in the back of my head, I knew that I had the ace card as I had Acronis True Image. So, I was able to recover all my information. Also, there were other challenges where there was no human interaction, but a simple system crash where you must recover,” said Yablonovitch.

Acronis True Image combines fast, secure backup and integrated AI-based security to completely protect your home devices with one simple tool.
