Acronis' channel focused business model and innovative technology brought strong product growth in the Americas
Austin, Texas., October 20, 2017 - Acronis, a global leader in hybrid cloud data protection for businesses of any size and individual users, meets the needs of the modern IT infrastructure, offering complete protection for all data through backup, storage, and file sync and share solutions.
Today at the Acronis Racing Week event in Austin, Texas, Acronis reported strong business growth in the Americas. This includes 36% average quarterly YoY growth of Acronis Backup 12.5 since the product was launched in July 2016, 1,000% YoY growth of Acronis Access Advanced, and over 1,000% growth in Acronis Backup Cloud billings between Q1-Q3 2017.
Acronis specifically noted that smaller companies are increasingly adopting the Advanced Edition of Acronis Backup 12.5. While the Advanced Edition was previously common in the Enterprise segment, the Small Business segment saw 11 percent average quarterly growth - which illustrates the escalating IT demands felt by businesses of all sizes.
To sustain the high level of customer service and meet the growing demand for backup and disaster recovery products, Acronis opened a new technology center in Phoenix, Arizona, adding to its other US offices in Massachusetts, Virginia and California.
"Acronis innovative technology is easy to sell, because we are the only company that can offer complete data protection for any modern hybrid IT business. We help our partners to convey the benefits of our solutions to their customers through training and professional services. For service providers, we offer easy service integration with all major Professional Services Automation software packages, helping them to retain customers and increase average revenue per user, which is also reflected in our latest YoY growth figures," said John Zanni, President of Acronis.
One of the fastest growing business verticals is automotive industry, which includes manufacturing and motor racing. 30 percent of new business customers originate from this field. Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 Team provides a vivid example of why data-intensive companies choose Acronis to protect their data. The team deployed Acronis Access Advanced earlier this year to ensure security and increased productivity when sharing confidential data with engineers and subcontractors. Describing the deployment, Raffaele Boschetti, Scuderia Toro Rosso Head of IT said: "With Acronis Access Advanced, we're in full control of our data. We can track the information path and even remote-wipe a laptop, tablet or mobile device if it is lost or stolen to prevent a competitor from accessing the data. Our plan is to share sensitive data that way."
