Acronis Recognized in Eight Categories in Redmond Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards

Acronis Backup & Recovery® Acknowledged in Seven of the Eight Categories, Showcasing Its Comprehensive Data Protection Capabilities

Woburn, MA, February 7, 2013 - Acronis, a leading provider of data availability, accessibility and protection solutions for physical, virtual and cloud environments, announced today that it has been recognized ineight categories for the 2013 Redmond magazine Reader's Choice Awards. Specifically, Acronis Backup & Recovery has been acknowledged in seven of the categories, including overall migration, server migration, backup software, storage management software, disaster recovery solutions, virtual server add-ons and drive imaging. Acronis® True Image™, Acronis® Migrate Easy and Acronis® Disk Director® Suite were also recognized in the drive imaging, overall migration, and disk defragmentation and drive monitoring toolcategories.

"Acronis Backup & Recovery's recognition in Redmond magazine's Reader's Choice Awards reinforces our product's market position to deliver any-to-any data protection, from one flexible management console," said Dmitri Joukovski, Acronis vice president of product management. "With this acknowledgement, our customers can be confident they are receiving the premiere data protection solution for their environment, regardless of its complexity or size."

Redmond magazine's Reader's Choice Award winners were chosen by the readers of the publication during a two-week period, and presented to vendors in 68 categories ranging from virtualization and cloud services to storage management and server infrastructure. In an effort to determine which third-party products readers prefer to support their core Microsoft infrastructures, products branded and sold by Microsoft were not eligible for consideration in this year's balloting.

"To help you make better decisions about what ancillary tools help extend the platform we concluded the only way to provide a clear picture was to exclude Microsoft," said Redmond editor Jeff Schwartz. "The results speak for themselves, recognizing a number of important products that would otherwise be overshadowed."

Acronis Backup & Recovery gives organizations the ability to protect their hybrid physical, virtual and cloud environments through one management console, reducing total cost of ownership, management complexity, and margin of error through consistent user experience. The product supports backup and recovery at both the file and system levels and helps organizations maintain business continuity regardless of changing data protection needs.
