In a February 9, 2024 memo, Arcserve informed its MSP partners that it would terminate sales of Arcserve Cloud Services and Arcserve OneXafe Solo on February 12, 2024. Although the products will remain available through distribution until March 8, 2024, support for both will cease on July 31, 2024. MSPs are now in the unenviable position of finding a replacement.
According to the Arcserve memo released by CRN, Arcserve based its decision to end-of-life both products after reviewing its “operations and state of the market.” And, according to Arcserve, they do not currently have a recommendation for MSPs on a vendor replacement, but they are working on developing that guidance.
The abrupt end-of-life announcement leaves Arcserve MSPs in the dark about how to move forward. MSPs need to not only evaluate new vendors, but also migrate clients by the end-of-life time frame. This is no simple task for busy MSPs with a portfolio of clients on Arcserve.
