Analyst firm Canalys named Acronis a Champion in its 2025 Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix report. The recognition places Acronis among an elite group of vendors recognized by the channel-focused firm.
Canalys praised Acronis for its work with managed service providers (MSPs), citing an “MSP-first approach” and the “overall ease of doing business.” The firm said that the Acronis cybersecurity portfolio enables MSPs to deliver services across the NIST framework of security standards through integration of data protection and operational management.
Acronis helps MSPs increase profitability
Canalys mentioned the strength of the Acronis solution portfolio, specifically mentioning extended detection and response (XDR) and managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities. Enhancements to those technologies, along with other key product updates and introductions, will enable Acronis to expand its reach with MSPs, the firm said.
The report pointed out that by offering partners rebates, revamped distributor programs and enhanced training, Acronis helped MSPs boost profitability. Canalys said it expects Acronis to continue to gain momentum in 2025 with automated onboarding and nurturing for partners, co-branded campaigns and partner coaching, among other initiatives.
How Canalys chooses Champion vendors
Canalys names Champions in the Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix by assessing vendors and determining which have a combination of the highest and most consistent channel partner feedback. The firm also looks at which vendors have generated growth and profits for partners and maintained strong momentum over the last 12 months.
Champion vendors share similar attributes: positive partner sentiment, a focus on continuous improvements, a willingness to boost growth opportunities and increase profitability for partners, a focus on training and enablement, and a commitment to growing the share of revenue generated through the channel.
Canalys recognizes Acronis for a remarkable year
