4 and a Half Tips for the Best Cyber Week Shopping

I know you’ve been waiting for this. You barely slept in August, could hardly eat in September and didn’t really go out in November. And now it’s here and you are a little bit scared. What if everything doesn’t go as planned? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Just follow my 4 and a half tips to maximize your Cyber Week Shopping experience and enjoy.

1. Get Prepared

This basically means do your research and stay organized. The ideal scenario is to make a list of the online retailers that are having sales during Cyber Week. The less than ideal scenario is scrambling for 3 minutes, Googling stuff that you wanted 5 minutes before Cyber Week ends. 

2. Get your holiday wish list

Do you have a list? If your answer is “I don’t believe in Santa, I don’t write wish lists”, then you should rethink your way of living. Having a wish list (a list of any kind, basically) is really good for your mental health. Lists keep you organized and efficient. And holiday shopping lists keep you away from spending too much money on stuff that just collects dust in the closet two days after it is purchased. During Cyber Week, don’t just buy things for yourself but gifts you could actually give to your friends, parents or other nice people in your life. 

3. Get your Social Media on

Remember that not all of the best deals are broadcast publicly. If you already know where you want to buy something special, follow your favorite brands on Twitter or Facebook or YouTube. Make sure to like or follow at least one page of your favorite brand beforehand and be in the know of the best deals.

4. Get something unique

Right, so it’s the holiday season and people are expecting more or less the same kind of presents. Something like a new iPad or a funky cell phone or that fancy fitness tracker. Why not try something new and exciting? At least this year try to find something that people don’t expect to get from you. Best case scenario, they end up being happy and surprised, on the other – just surprised. Nothing to worry about, go ahead and do it.
