Farewell Malaysia, Welcome Pierre
Ever since its inaugural grand prix in 1999, the Malaysian Grand Prix has been a favorite for teams and drivers alike. Located close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the challenging Sepang circuit layout with two long straights and numerous sweeping corners, designed by Hermann Tilke, has provided many exciting races over the years. Alas, the 2017 race would be the last at the venue for the foreseeable future but also a memorable one both for Toro Rosso's Carlos Sainz and a brand new addition to the team in exciting young French starlet Pierre Gasly.
