Logistics giant Expeditors hit by cyberattack

Expeditors, a global logistics giant and top-five freight management company by revenue, recently suffered a cyberattack. The incident appears to involve ransomware.

The Seattle-based Fortune 500 company is an undeniably high-value target. Expeditors reported revenue of $10 billion last year, and employs over 18,000 people in over 350 locations.

The company announced that the cyberattack has had a global impact, and that transportation and deliveries will be delayed due to a shutdown of most of their IT infrastructure.
