Acronis welcomes Gerald Beuchelt as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Beuchelt is a seasoned security executive with a proven track record in building and operating comprehensive security programs for high-growth enterprises.

Scaling in security

Beuchelt’s focus on scalable technology, proactive process management and people-centric security frameworks aligns with Acronis’ commitment to providing accessible and advanced cyber protection for organizations and managed service providers (MSPs) of all sizes. His expertise will be crucial in leading security practices that meet the threat landscape of today and in the future.

As CISO, Beuchelt will lead a global team of IT, security and compliance professionals, overseeing practices and processes to help Acronis mitigate risks across the company’s global enterprise. And as a key member of executive leadership, he will collaborate closely with the Acronis team to strengthen the company’s security posture by advancing its cybersecurity strategy.

Extensive cybersecurity experience

Beuchelt’s extensive experience spans multiple high-profile roles, where he has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead security and compliance initiatives.

His background most recently includes a position as CISO and Senior Vice President of Information Security at Sprinklr, where he provided risk assessment and security implementation oversight for the company's $4 billion IPO. Under Beuchelt’s leadership, Sprinklr achieved a smooth transition of technology and upheld the highest security standards during the IPO period.

At LogMeIn, Beuchelt merged and expanded the security teams during a $5 billion merger with GetGo. The result was a consolidated team with expanded 24/7 services for critical functions. He also implemented GDPR privacy controls, enabling significant EU sales growth.

Previously, at Demandware, Beuchelt managed all security and compliance, as well as privacy due diligence and integration requirements, for three successful corporate acquisitions totaling $70 million. He also ensured the security evaluation of Demandware by Salesforce, leading to Salesforce’s $3 billion acquisition of Demandware.
