Acronis is pleased to announce that Ingram Micro has added the Acronis Backup Cloud solution to its Cloud Marketplace. As more and more companies deploy turnkey cloud services to simplify their data protection, resellers struggle to maintain these new revenue streams due to the resource intensive nature of provisioning, billing and managing their cloud services. Now, Acronis and Ingram partners have access to the ideal solution for maintaining their Cloud services business.
“Acronis has been in the backup and disaster recovery space for more than a decade and has become a trusted and respected brand among IT solution providers,” says Jason Bystrak, Executive Director of the Americas, Ingram Micro Cloud. “Having the Acronis Backup Cloud solution on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace gives our solution providers a new way to quickly deploy Acronis solutions and to bundle them with other services like our Virtual Servers, Hosted Exchange suite, etc.”
The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is an ecosystem of buyers, sellers and solutions that enable channel partners and professionals to purchase, provision, manage and invoice with confidence and ease. The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace removes the complexity in procurement, management, and support that is too often inherent in cloud technologies, and empowers partners to manage the complete end-customer subscription lifecycle from a single, automated platform provided and supported by Ingram Micro.
Through its Cloud Marketplace, Ingram Micro partners can now: • Purchase and activate Acronis Backup Cloud • Use the 30-day trial download to test the service • Configure and manage Acronis solutions for multiple end customers from a single portal • Add new features, services, or customers with just a few mouse clicks • Download unified billing data, which can be integrated with any PSA
Acronis Backup Cloud is a cloud backup and recovery managed service that offers file-based backups, physical image backups, and VM image-based backups within the same solution. Acronis Backup Cloud includes bare metal restore and supports multi-level security as well as file and machine-level recovery. Customers can deploy Acronis Backup Cloud to support Windows, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V environments, and can enable local on premise backup for additional security.
“Resellers and service providers want to include backup and recovery solutions within their lines of business but worry that added complexity and costs will slow the sales cycle,” said Chris Hildebrand, VP of Global Channel Sales at Acronis. “Acronis Backup Cloud enables them to offer advanced data protection to their customers with an easily managed, high-margin service paid on a usage basis. With Acronis Backup Cloud, resellers and service providers can deliver on a critical customer need and build an entire new profit center — without sales friction due to low upfront costs. Our partnership with Ingram Micro Cloud Market Place takes the manual effort and confusion out of procuring cloud services, allowing resellers and service providers to focus on their business with the confidence of knowing the billing and provisioning will be handled seamlessly.”
