Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
for service providers

Here is a quick recap of the important points we made in our first four articles - also illustrated into our latest video:

  1. PC and Mac users have seen data volumes grow exponentially in the last few decades and that trend is expected to continue. Your computer holds your most treasured asset – your entire digital life.
  2. You need both anti-virus software and backup software. While AV software can protect your data from viruses and hacker attacks, it cannot protect your data from user errors, hardware failure, loss, theft, natural disasters, software errors, and problems you may encounter when upgrading or updating your software.
  3. Hard disk drives are more delicate than people realize. Recent studies have shown that 1 in 4 drives can fail over a three-year period.
  4. Disk image backup is the preferred backup method. Like file-based backup software, disk image backup lets you backup and restore individual files and folders. Unlike file-based backup software, you can also backup and restore the operating system, applications, browser history, preferences, settings, bookmarks, device drivers, etc. – everything on your system. You also have the ability to restore selected files and folders or the entire system. You can also quickly restore your computer to bare metal, which is especially helpful if your computer is destroyed, stolen, or lost.
  5. Remember that one backup copy is not enough. You will get the ultimate protection following Acronis’ 3-2-1 rule: create 3 copies of your data, on 2 different media, and store 1 copy offsite (in the cloud). Just as important is to backup on a regular basis so you can minimize the amount of data you lose if something happens.
