Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud has once again proven itself to be a leader in cybersecurity by earning AV-TEST’s prestigious "Top Product" certification. We already reported achieving Top Product certification from AV-TEST earlier this April, but this time, the results are even better. This recognition highlights the Acronis cloud platform’s robust protection capabilities for Windows systems, reinforcing Acronis’ commitment to delivering comprehensive and reliable cybersecurity solutions.

AV-TEST certification: A benchmark of excellence

AV-TEST, an independent testing organization renowned for evaluating security products, rigorously assesses solutions based on criteria such as protection, performance and usability. These tests are designed to simulate real-world scenarios, ensuring that certified products can defend against both prevalent and emerging threats.

In the most recent round of testing in July and August, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud earned the top score across all categories. The solution demonstrated its ability to shield systems from zero-day malware attacks, widespread and prevalent threats and potentially unwanted applications (PUAs) — without compromising system performance.

Acronis stands out in protection and performance

In terms of protection, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud excelled by neutralizing 100% of threats in the test, putting it ahead of such well-known security industry players like Avast, Bitdefender, Sophos, Symantec and others. This result underscores the platform’s effectiveness at safeguarding endpoints against the most sophisticated cyberattacks.

Performance is another key factor in AV-TEST’s evaluation, and Acronis passed with flying colors. The solution showed minimal impact on system resources, taking second place with 7.15% impact after Microsoft Windows Defender’s 6.6%, which is an embedded security solution from the manufacturer of the Windows operating system itself. That amazing result ensures that Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud can protect systems without slowing down day-to-day operations. This is crucial for businesses that need strong security without sacrificing productivity. At the same time, some other solutions like Sophos or Bitdefender had twice the performance impact — at more than 14%!

Superior usability with minimal false positives

Acronis also earned high praise for its usability, meaning that it not only protects effectively, but does so without overwhelming users with false positives. False alarms can hinder productivity and erode trust in security software, but Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud was shown to cause zero false alarms, offering precise detection without unnecessary interruptions.

A competitive edge over other solutions

While other security solutions also participated in the tests, many fell short in one or more areas, either in protection rates or system impact. Some competitors showed higher rates of false positives, and others placed greater strain on system resources, affecting overall performance. In contrast, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud offered a seamless combination of high protection, efficient performance and an intuitive user experience, making it the ideal choice for businesses seeking all-around security.

The all-in-one cyber protection platform

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud’s success in the AV-TEST evaluation underscores its position as a comprehensive solution that blends cybersecurity with data protection. It uniquely combines anti-malware, backup, disaster recovery and endpoint management in one platform, giving businesses everything they need to ensure the security, integrity and availability of their data.

With its most recent AV-TEST certification, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud reaffirms its commitment to delivering the best possible protection for its users, providing peace of mind for organizations of all sizes as they navigate an increasingly dangerous cyber landscape.
